I am privileged to be a Founding Member of the NC Pinnacle Dinner. At these dinners we gather leaders from across North Carolina to network and commit to helping each other.

Jolaine Elien: Last Thursday, I returned to The Pinnacle Dinner, a night filled with inspiration, purpose, and genuine conversation. I met so many incredible leaders, and reconnected with Kristi Straw, MBA – Executive Strategist whose insights and collaboration played a key role in helping me bring my consulting firm to life.

I then spent the weekend at The Nourished Leader Fall Retreat, a space that invited reflection, restoration, and reconnection with purpose. It reminded me that rest isn’t indulgence — it’s strategy. Stepping back to breathe, recalibrate, and nurture ourselves is often what allows us to step forward with clarity and strength.

Together, these experiences reinforced something I’m holding onto in this new season: Rest restores your perspective. Connection expands your possibilities. Community sustains your growth.

Here’s to making space for all three — because when we nourish ourselves and our networks, we build the capacity to lead with greater intention and impact.
