For example, startups that require detailed oversight and technical expertise from the founder, such as product development-heavy ventures, and early-stage service-based startups, benefit most from a Hands-on Leadership approach. In contrast, platform-based startups like Airbnb or Uber, and tech-enabled marketplaces that connect buyers and sellers, thrive under a Founder Mode approach.
