When you’ve done all you can to avert disaster, yet it strikes regardless, the path forward is to draw strength from your faith, persevere, and share your experience to help prevent others from enduring similar hardships. Cheryl Scott made a courageous decision to undergo prophylactic surgery, removing her ovaries and breasts after a BRCA test revealed a high risk for both cancers. Unfortunately, she later faced ovarian cancer due to residual ovarian cells. After enduring the removal of 27 tumors and months of chemotherapy, Cheryl’s unwavering faith and strength guided her to remission. She is now passionately spreading the message that ovarian cancer can still occur post-oophorectomy. Her hope is to inspire others facing similar situations to prioritize regular testing and listen to their bodies. An incredible story of Cheryl Scott’s journey, captured on NC WSOC TV. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/ppingel_fort-mill-woman-diagnosed-with-cancer-despite-activity-7169942379678924800-VpS3?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop
